IDENTITA E DIFFERENZE
Identità e differenze was a group show of 29 countries, invited to exhibit work in the Palazzo dell’ Arte as part of the XIX Milan Triennale. The theme Identità e differenze (Identity and difference) was about ‘plurality in forms and cultures’. Ross Jenner was the commissioner, with Rewi Thompson, Twose and others in the team. Our approach addressed the theme from the angle of biculturalism.

INSTALLATION
1996
A sculptural ‘treaty document’, referencing Te Tiriti, filled the gallery space, almost like it had been blown in from afar. The document acted as a landscape for works of New Zealand architecture, which were exhibited in images hovering over its surface, in ambiguous, unsettled relation to the Tiriti landscape’. A Toki form held architectural models and faced the document.
